Leftover Chicken Recipes

Are you less than creative when it comes to leftover chicken recipes? If so, this article will help you get rid of those past meals with a bit of home cooked flair.

While some people have got the leftover thing down to a science, others wind up throwing away their past meals every time. Believe it or not, a dish that was cooked a few days ago can still be great today, you just have to get a bit imaginative while trying to reinvent it. There are standard casseroles that you can make, soups that are easy to concoct, and other dishes that only take a few minutes to prepare. No matter what you decide to make, you can be sure that you will build a large database of leftover chicken recipes in no time.

Once you get the hang of creating great leftover dishes, you can really throw together anything you like. This following recipe is for a basic casserole that uses leftover chicken, though you can easily substitute turkey, duck, or any other meat that you have in the fridge (red meat does not work particularly well in this recipe). Gather together three cups of cooked pasta; two cups of chicken meat chopped; two cups of vegetables (frozen); one chopped onion; and one can of cream of mushroom soup. Simply mix all of the ingredients together, add salt and pepper, and place in a 350 degree oven for thirty minutes.

If you want to jazz up this recipe, add a few cups of cheese to the mix. This casserole will be done when the cheese is brown and bubbly, or when the chicken is warmed through. Since you are reheating chicken, it is not necessary to cook it for a very long time. The key is to add enough juice to the meat in order to create a succulent dish. If you have a whole chicken in the fridge, look for leftover chicken recipes that include some type of soup dish. In many ways, soups that contain leftovers are actually tastier the second time around.

Dine Without Whine Sample

Start experiment with those foods that are in your fridge. The only thing that you have to remember is to create an excessive amount of flavor by adding a lot of juice and spice to any dish. Once you have done this, you will be coming up with superb meals in no time.

While you can look for leftover chicken recipes, the best meals always come from your imagination. Don’t be afraid of your kitchen – get in there and create!
