Each of OCCI’s chef instructors is certified by the American Culinary Federation, and students can choose 15-month associate’s degree programs in Culinary Arts Management or Pastry and Baking. Valuable externships at locations all over the world help OCCI students get started professionally. And there’s plenty to do on the breath-taking Oregon coast. Ocean beaches, sand dunes, kayaking, fishing, golf, hiking trails, lakes, rivers and countless other recreational opportunities abound. On campus, a Student Recreation Center provides opportunities for intramural sports, racquetball, rock climbing, a fitness center and numerous other activities. As part of Southwestern Oregon Community College, OCCI offers a traditional college lifestyle with quality campus housing, numerous student activities and 15 athletic teams in 10 sports.
